Installed Presonus Monitor Station today, which gave me the chance to audition both sets of monitors from the same listening position. Subjectively, i.e. my ears, the Yorkvilles win handsomely. It’s good to have the M Audio option patched in though, for A/B purposes etc. This place has also acquired a Korg R3 synth, as much for live work as recording, but it does different things from either of my other two synths, so expands the sonic repertoire nicely. The next few work sessions are going to involve a fair amount of resolving workflow and ergonomic issues, as well as turning pages in a manual and patch tweaking.
