One of the sidebar tropes of this tune, that opens the forthcoming Inside A Wall is that it self-consciously references three major dance/club musics that have been around the last thirty years. The disco/funk thing is in the guitars, house piano is lurking in the verses, and the drums reflect the hip-hop/funk thing. Maybe the bass draws on the reggae/african thing too…
